He supports firms, organizations and authorities in their digital transformation efforts, with consulting, dedicated trainings and specific practice-oriented publications. ![]() As a member of the research unit "Law and Digitalization" of the Faculty of Law at the University of Bern, he supports the digital transformation in legal application domains.Ĭhristian Matt has been working for SAP as well as a freelance consultant in the fields of IT services and digital business, serving clients across industries, such as software and IT, media, transportation, and enterprise associations. His research projects often pursue empirical, interdisciplinary approaches in areas such as intelligent decision support, digital business models and pricing, Internet of Things (IoT) and offline/online integration. In particular, he is fascinated by the socio-technical effects that digital technologies and data-based services have on firms and society alike. He pursues research, teaching, and consulting on corporate digital transformation and value creation, data-based services and privacy, as well as on digital customer interfaces and experiences. He received his PhD in 2013 from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, where he also worked as an Assistant Professor thereafter. ![]() Christian Matt is Professor and Co-director of the Institute of Information Systems at the University of Bern.
